We have been doing cheap travel around the world for decades (yes, decades–we are in our 50s now!). Over the years, we have learned how to travel the world on a very limited budget and we want to help you do it, too.
“To breathe is not to live. To travel is to live!”
I came up with that saying when my husband and I started focusing on traveling more than accumulating things. We have never had very much money to travel, nor to buy things for that matter, so I started finding ways to travel for a longer time and farther away for as little money as possible.
I started this blog in 2012 and we retired in 2019 at the ages 57 & 58. So now that we are retired we have to stretch our travel budget even farther with less money. I hope this blog helps people realize “not enough money” is never a reason not to travel. I’m going to share the cheap tricks we have learned over the years that have enabled an ordinary middle-aged couple to travel around the world. It’s never too late to start!
